Uninstalling Linq from Salesforce – SOP

Purpose

This SOP explains how to safely uninstall the Linq for Salesforce integration and verify it has been fully removed.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you:

  • Have Salesforce admin access.

  • Have backed up any reports, objects, or data related to Linq that you want to retain.

  • Are comfortable navigating the Salesforce Setup area.


Step-by-Step Uninstall Process

1. Log in to Salesforce

  1. Sign in to Salesforce using an administrator account.

2. Go to Setup

  1. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Setup from the dropdown.Salesforce 1

3. Open Installed Packages

  1. In the Quick Find search box (left sidebar), type Installed Packages.

  2. Click Installed Packages to open the full list of packages installed in your org.

4. Locate the Linq Package

  1. In the Installed Packages list, find the package named Linq (or your Linq package label).

  2. Click the Linq package name to open its details page.

5. Uninstall the Linq Package

  1. On the package details page, click the Uninstall button.

  2. Review the information on the uninstall page (including any warnings and data options).

  3. Confirm the uninstall when prompted.

Note: Depending on your Salesforce org and data volume, uninstallation may take a few minutes.

6. Verify Uninstallation

  1. Return to Setup → Installed Packages.

  2. Confirm that Linq no longer appears in the Installed Packages list.
