Photo Dimensions on a Linq page
Each photo has unique dimension requirements/limits. Here they are:
Core profile images
- Profile photo (avatar): 500 × 500 px (1:1)
- Banner (cover): 1500 × 500 px (3:1)
Content tiles
Gallery tile (images inside a gallery)
- Recommended: 1080 × 1080 px
- Aspect ratio: 1:1
- Notes: Displays cleanly in grid + modal view. Avoid putting text near edges.
Link tile (image thumbnail for a link)
- Recommended: 800 × 600 px
- Aspect ratio: 4:3
- Notes: This is the most consistent rendering across desktop + mobile. Center important content.
Video thumbnail (if using custom thumbnails)
- Recommended: 1280 × 720 px
- Aspect ratio: 16:9
Background image (if applied to page sections/templates)
- Recommended: 1500 × 2000 px
- Aspect ratio: ~3:4
- Notes: Designed for vertical scroll; keep key visuals centered.
Team/org logos (if used in shared templates or branding)
- Recommended: 500 × 500 px
- Aspect ratio: 1:1
- Notes: Works best with transparent PNG
General best practices
- Keep file size under ~2–5 MB for fast load
- Use PNG for logos/graphics, JPG for photos
- Always center key content (Linq crops slightly across breakpoints)
