Bulk Deleting Multiple Contacts
You can select multiple contacts and delete them all at once, instead of removing them one by one.
Steps
- Go to the Contacts page
- Tap the checkbox icon to enter Select Mode
- Tap each contact you want to delete to select them
- Scroll down in the actions menu and tap Delete (shown in red)
- A confirmation dialog will appear: "Are you sure you want to delete X contacts?"
- Tap Delete to confirm
- A progress bar will show the deletion progress
- When complete, you'll see a summary of how many contacts were deleted successfully
- Tap Done to close
Important Notes
- This action cannot be undone. Deleted contacts are permanently removed.
- "Select All" is not supported for bulk delete. You must select contacts individually.
- If some contacts fail to delete (e.g., due to permissions), the summary will show how many failed. Successfully deleted contacts are still removed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I undo a bulk delete?
No. Bulk delete is permanent and cannot be reversed. Make sure you've selected the right contacts before confirming.
Why don't I see the Delete option?
The Delete action only appears when you've selected individual contacts using the checkboxes. It is not available when using "Select All."
Is there a limit to how many contacts I can delete at once?
There is no hard limit, but very large selections will take longer to process. A progress bar will keep you informed.
What happens if some contacts fail to delete?
You'll see a summary showing how many succeeded and how many failed. The contacts that were successfully deleted will be removed from your list. Contacts that failed will remain.
Can I delete team contacts?
You can only delete contacts you have permission to delete. If you select team contacts you don't have permission to remove, those will show as failed in the results summary.
