Register a phone number by sending your first message

Add a Recipient to Your Linq Number

To start sending messages to a new recipient, you’ll first need to register their phone number with your Linq number.

Instructions:

  1. Open the messaging app on the phone you want to add as a recipient
  2. Create a new message
  3. Enter your Linq number as the recipient
  4. Send the message "Hello World"

What Happens Next?

Once the message is sent, the phone number you used will automatically be recognized and added as a recipient in your Linq account. You can then begin sending and receiving messages with that number through Linq. 

Notes

  • The content of the message ("Hello World") is simply used to initiate the connection—no additional setup is required
  • Make sure the message is sent from the phone number you want to register
