NFC or Tapping is Not Working

Works with: Nearly all Android phones and iPhones 7+.


βœ… Quick Checks

  • Remove metal cases (non-metal is fine).

  • Receiving phone must be unlocked & awake.

  • Tap in the right spot:

    • iPhone: top ΒΌ of device.

    • Android: middle/back.

  • If still not working β†’ scan QR code on product.


πŸ“± iPhone

  • XS/XR or newer: NFC always on, banner shows at top.

  • Older models (with latest iOS): Pull up NFC Reader in Control Center β†’ then tap.


πŸ€– Android

  • Turn on NFC: Settings β†’ Connections / Bluetooth & device connection β†’ NFC β†’ On.

  • Antenna location varies β†’ move tag slowly until it reads.


πŸ”§ If Still Not Working

  1. Verify product is activated β†’ check assignment in Linq app.

  2. Test another phone β†’ rules out device issue.

  3. Clear App Clip cache (iPhone only):

    • Delete Linq app β†’ tap again.

    • If preview still wrong β†’ Settings β†’ App Clips β†’ Remove all β†’ tap again.

    • Reinstall Linq app if needed.

  • Search β€œNFC” in Android settings if you can’t find it.

  • Tap slowly/steadily vs quick taps.

  • Avoid magnets or metal wallet cases when tapping.
